This year we designed a paper basket that could be colored, but still holds Easter goodies and DIY paper eggs.
These templates do not look too exciting on their own, but with a little imagination and creativity they transform into your own personal art.
Below are the templates used for this project as well as an additional coloring page.

Step by Step
Also color your baskets and handles. You can make it look like a realistic basket, draw your favorite Easter character/scene, or write something important about Easter.
When you cut out the basket, don't forget to cut out the notches. It will help it fold over and make gluing easier.
Basket: Fold the edges of the basket. Add glue and place the basket on the bottom half of the paper. Remember you want room for your handle.
Do not glue the top of the basket. We want to create a pocket.
Handle: Fold the handle so your design shows in the front. Grab the ends in each hand, fold down and then twist toward the front. Mess with it enough and it will happen. I am not sure how to describe it better.
Then tuck the edge of the handle inside the pocket. Glue in place. I like to add clear tape on top for strength. Once these kids start shoving in grass it needs a little something extra.
