I was nervous. The students were high-school age, and not my reading age-group. I really didn't know what to expect. But, they were amazing to work with.
We addressed a number of topics. Including, how-to self-publish, technical aspects of writing and illustrating, as well as finding inspiration and pursing ideas.
They asked so many wonderful questions and we talked to each other the whole hour. But before the end of the day, they were kind enough to let me read to them and take a picture.
Thank you so much to my sister and Banner Academy teacher, Kerri Clay, for inviting me. It is a great campus and I appreciate the work and dedication to those who teach everyday.
