About the The Very Hungry Caterpillar
I bet I would have a hard time finding someone who has not heard of the book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."
It was originally published in 1969 and soon became one of the best selling books of all time. (Wikipedia)
It is known for its unique style in illustration and in its book type with its identifiable holes. It has been a great educational tool and a staple in most schools.
Follows this little caterpillar who eats himself into a big fat caterpillar and turns into a big beautiful butterfly.
I didn't realize how much I would appreciate this video years later. My mom goggles are on, "it's so cute! she was so little!" etc... I just loved her emphasis on "BIG FAT Caterpillar."
So years later, she learned to read and it was our practice book. It was cool to watch her go line by line, practicing her pronunciation and giving it voice. I wanted to capture this new memory.
Luckily, my kid became obsessed with YouTube. (An epidemic among our next generation.) So, she was ecstatic to make her own YouTube video.
I took my very limited video skills and mixed the two videos side by side. It is something I will cherish for a long time. Perhaps the next video will be her reading it to her kids.
